Completed in 1932, the Trail Ridge Road runs for 48 mi (77 km) through the Rocky Mountain National Park from Estes Park to Grand Lake. At it's highest point the road hits 12,183 ft in elevation, making it the highest continuous highway in the United States. Pullouts are frequent on the road, allowing visitors to stop and admire the amazing scenic views as they pass through.
