    Located within the historic Harbeck-Bergheim House, the Boulder History Museum exhibits Boulder’s past from the 1800s to the present. Hands-on and multi-media displays feature oral histories, hand-written documents, photographs and artifacts. Hours of operation are Tuesday-Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday noon-4pm.

    Longmont Museum & Cultural Center
    The Longmont Museum and Cultural Center features four exhibit galleries, three classrooms available for special events and programs, as well as an outdoor courtyard. Hours of operation are 9am-5pm Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday, 9am-8pm Wednesdays and 1pm-5pm Sunday.

    Museum of Contemporary Art

    This renovated 1911 post office is home to two galleries with rotating contemporary visual art exhibits. Galleries feature the work of regional, national and international contemporary artists along with special programs that include studio art classes for both children and adults. This museum is located in downtown Fort Collins.

    University of Colorado Natural History Museum

    Located in the Henderson Building on the University of Colorado main campus, the Natural History Museum boasts more than four million artifacts in their extensive and respected natural history collection. Permanent exhibition galleries explore such topics as paleontology, anthropology and zoology. Additional features of this facility include a Children’s Discovery Center, three galleries and a gift store. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9am-4pm and Saturday-Sunday 10am-4pm. Admission is free although donations are accepted.

    Enos Mills Cabin Museum

    This museum, housed in a historic 1885 cabin, is dedicated to Enos Mills, dubbed the father of Rocky Mountain National Park. Enos Mills lobbied Congress and the public to set aside large land areas for the preservation of wildlife and natural scenery. The museum explores the many achievements of Enos Mills.

    National Center for Atmospheric Research

    The National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR), build by architect I.M. Pei provides interactive exhibits on topics such as tornados, lightning and fluid dynamics. Additional features include models of three NCAR aircrafts, a solar eclipse telescope and an art gallery. Self guided tours are available year-round.     University of Colorado Heritage Center
    Located on the 3rd floor of the Old Main building on the Colorado University campus, the Heritage center is a museum which showcases the history of the University. Featured exhibits include the space room, with profiles 16 astronauts who studied at the institution as well as an actual moon rock, on permanent loan from NASA. Other exhibits focus on athletics, architecture and distinguished alumni. Hours of operation are 10am-4pm Monday-Friday and Saturday 10am-2pm.
