    Jim Hamm Nature Area
    Developed in 1976, this 24-acre nature area was donated by the Hamm family in memory of USAF Captain Jim Hamm, who died in the Vietnam War. The Nature Area consists of 14 acres of water and 10 acres of surrounding land. Features include public restrooms, a sheltered picnic pavilion, a pond-side shelter a sensory garden and interpretive signs throughout the area.

    Charles A. Haertling Sculpture Park

    Roger's Grove
    Located adjacent to the St. Vrain Greenway, Roger’s Grove encompasses 14 acres. Features include an interpretative center, picnic shelters as well as an outdoor amphitheater. The annual Rhythm on the River event is hosted by Roger’s Grove every July.

    Rocky Mountain National Park

    Established in 1915, this park showcases the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains, boasting peaks that rise above 14,000 ft (4,267 m). The park is situated in northern Colorado, northwest of Denver. Visitors have the chance to see a wide diversity of wildlife, including elk, mule deer, moose, bighorn sheep, black bears, eagles, hawks and more. Spectacular displays of wildflowers are visible in the summer months of June and July. Hikers, backpackers and horseback riders enjoy the use of over 350 mi (563 km) of trail, and anglers have plenty of opportunities for fly fishing.

    Lory State Park

    Due west of Fort Collins, Lory State Park offers a wealth of outdoor activities to visitors. Situated beside the Horsetooth Reservoir, spend time fishing, boating, water skiing and doing various other activities. A number of trails wind through the park, which are frequented by hikers, horseback riders and mountain bikers in the summer cross-country skiing in the winter.

    Sandstone Ranch
    Situated on 313 acres of land, the Sandstone Ranch Park was the homestead of St. Vrain Valley pioneer Morse Coffin in 1860. Today, the ranch is a public use park and features four baseball fields, two sheltered picnic areas, ten outdoor barbecue grills and public restrooms.

    Union Reservoir and Park
    The Union Reservoir and Park are available for public use from March 1 to October 31. Recreational activities such as fishing, wakeless boating, windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are available on reservoir. The east side of the reservoir is designated at a dog beach, where dogs are permitted off-leash. Public restrooms facilities are also available.
