The Discovery Science Center is a hands-on science and technology center that features over 110 interactive exhibits. This center offers Starlab Planetarium Shows, science field trips, the Dinostories traveling exhibit and more. Special events are also held annually.

Friday evenings, Saturdays and select Tuesdays, the Fiske Planetarium/Sommer Bausch Observatory offers classes, observation sessions and laser shows. Class topics include the formation of the solar system, galaxies, black holes and extra-terrestrials while the laser shows are set to music provided by such artists as Pink Floyd, the Beatles and Bob Marley. The observatory is open for telescope viewing on most Friday evenings, weather permitting.

Operated by the Front Range Community College, the Stargazer Observatory boasts a 14-inch (36-cm) Celestron telescope. The public can visit the center on the third Sunday of each month. Astronomy classes are held through the college.
